Individual Course Offerings

PADI Assistant Instructor

The first part of the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) is the PADI Assistant Instructor course. This will provide the foundation for your Instructor training along with becoming a professional assistant to instructors. As an Assistant Instructor you will gain additional experience as a PADI Professional and learn the PADI System of diver education.

Through independent study, classroom sessions, knowledge reviews, workshops and practice teaching assignments both in the water and the classroom, you will learn to assist in conducting PADI educational programs. Click here for more information.


PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor

The second part of the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) is the PADI Open Water Instructor (OWSI) course. During the OWSI course you will learn to adapt the foundational skills learned in the AI course to the individual needs of your students. Additionally, you will learn to employ a multitude of PADI educational materials that will assist you in perfecting your educational delivery method.

Open Water Scuba Instructor
Instructor candidates will conduct classroom sessions, lead knowledge review sessions, and workshops both in the water and the classroom. Click here for more information.


PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer Prep Course

The Master Scuba Diver Trainer rating sets you apart from other dive instructors by showing your commitment to continuing your dive training and being prepared to help others continue their training as well.

PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainers are PADI Instructors who have at least five PADI Specialty Instructor ratings, which qualifies them to conduct all training requirements for the Master Scuba Diver rating.

MSDT
Master Scuba Diver Trainer candidates participate in both classroom and open water evaluation sessions related to the 5 specialties they have chosen. Click here for more information.


PADI IDC Staff Instructor

PADI IDC Staff Instructors are PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainers who have successfully completed an IDC Staff Instructor course. During their training, IDC Staff Instructors overview the entire PADI instructor Development program and learn to act as assistants during instructor-level training courses. IDC Staff Instructors work with PADI Course Directors to develop instructor candidates’ teaching abilities as well as shape their attitudes as dive professionals.

Emergency First Response Instructor

The EFR Instructor Course provides qualified individuals with the additional training necessary to teach the Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) and EFR Secondary Care (First Aid) courses. This course builds on the candidates' skills as primary and secondary care providers and focuses on developing their instructional abilities.

PADI Oxygen Administration Instructor (New Specialty)

This new PADI specialty course represents entry level training designed to educate the general diving (and qualified non-diving) public in recognizing possible dive related injuries and providing emergency oxygen first aid while activating the local emergency medical services (EMS) and/or arranging for evacuation to the nearest available medical facility.

O2 Administration
Instructor candidates must demonstrate proper deployment, assembly, disassembly, and use of all components of an Oxygen Unit. This includes use of the demand inhalator valve / mask, constant flow (delivering oxygen at least 15 lpm), non-rebreather mask and oronasal resuscitation mask with supplemental oxygen inlet. Pro Pak Course Offerings

Pro Pak's

Pro Pak's are inclusive educational programs that allow instructor candidates to quickly reach their professional diving goals by increasing the number of course offerings a new instructor may teach. Pro Pak's may be completed all at once or over time according to your scheduling needs. In addition, Pro Pak programs offer a substainal cost savings over individual course prices.
